11 53 090 Removing and installing/replacing the auxiliary coolant pump (B36A/B38A)

Necessary preliminary work:

Drain COOLANT

Removal:

NOTE: Illustration shows B48 A.

Release screw (1).

Pull the auxiliary coolant pump (2) slightly forwards.

Unlock and disconnect the connector (1) of the auxiliary coolant pump.

Unlock coolant hose (1) and pull off of auxiliary coolant pump.

Unlock coolant hose (1) and pull off of auxiliary coolant pump (2).

Remove auxiliary coolant pump (2).

Installation:

NOTE: Illustration shows B48 A.

Install auxiliary coolant pump (1).

Connect coolant hose (2) to auxiliary coolant pump (1).

NOTE: The coolant hose (2) must engage audibly.

Connect coolant hose (1) to auxiliary coolant pump.

NOTE: The coolant hose (1) must audibly engage.

Connect the connector (1).

Fasten auxiliary coolant pump with screw (1).

Tightening torque 11 51 4AZ .

Add COOLANT
Check cooling system for leaks
