24 21 221 Replacing left radial shaft seal on differential (AISIN F21FT)

Special tools required:

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove left OUTPUT SHAFT .
Remove INTAKE FILTER HOUSING .

Removal:

Drive a hole into radial shaft seal using a center punch.

Attention !

Do not use a drill as shavings may result in transmission malfunction.

Thread special tool 23 0 490 into radial shaft seal (1).

Drive out radial shaft seal (1) with impact weight (2).

Installation:

Installation note:

Coat sealing lips of new radial shaft seal (1) with clean transmission oil.

Drive in radial shaft seal with handle 2 413 037 and special tool 24 14 017 till the limit position.

Required follow-up work:

Check TRANSMISSION OIL LEVEL .
