65 50 200 Removing and installing (replacing) central instrument cluster

Special tools required: 

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Removal: 

Unclip and remove cover (1) upwards with special tool 00 9 327 .

Release screws (1).

Unlock lock (1) with screwdriver in direction of arrow and at the same time pull central instrument towards passenger compartment.

Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect.

Remove central instrument (2).

Replacement: 

Installation: 

Join plug connections (1) to central instrument (2) and lock.

Press latch mechanism (1) on central instrument (3) on left and right in direction of arrow.

Latch mechanism (1) must engage on left and right behind IHKA controls (2).

Press on central instrument at top on instrument panel and engage.

Tighten down screws (1).

Engage cover (1) correctly in instrument panel (2).

Replacement: 

Up to build date 11/2014: Carry out VEHICLE PROGRAMMING AND ENCODING .
