11 00 050 Removing and installing engine with transmission (B48, B46): Notes

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2019 MINI Cooper, 2018 MINI Cooper, 2017 MINI Cooper, 2016 MINI Cooper, and 2015 MINI Cooper. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Special tools required:

IMPORTANT:

When replacing the engine:

For all vehicles with engine B46 and engine B48 made before 11/2015, the DME needs to be reprogrammed after replacing the cylinder head.

Recycling:

Catch and dispose of escaping fuel with auxiliary materials.

Observe country-specific waste disposal regulations.

Attention  !

Seal openings or lines on air conditioning with special tool 32 1 270 to prevent escape of media and contamination.

Necessary preliminary tasks:

REMOVAL:
