Removing and installing/replacing head-up display (Cooper Convertible)

Attention! 

Observe the INFORMATION on protection from electrostatic discharge.

Attention! 

Comply with NOTES on handling optical fibers.

Risk of damage! 

Do not hold the Head-Up Display by the heat sink.

If possible, do not touch the sound insulation on the Head-Up Display.

Do not touch the glass pane of the Head-Up Display if possible.

Preliminary work needed: 

Removal: 

Loosen screws.

Carefully feed Head-Up Display (1) out of support (2) towards top.

Unlock connector (1) on underside of head-up display (2) and disconnect.

Remove head-up display (2).

Installation: 

Connect connector (1) on underside of head-up display (2).

NOTE: Make sure installation position of Head-Up Display (1) relative to support (2) is correct.

Join Head-Up Display (1) with support (2).

Tighten the screws.

Tightening torque 62 30 1AZ .

Required follow-up work: 

Replacement: 

Carry out vehicle PROGRAMMING/ENCODING .
