Mounting engine on assembly jig (B36 engine) (Cooper base)

Special tools required:
- 00 2 300
- 00 2 320
- 2 288 357
- 11 9 030
- 11 0 070
IMPORTANT:
Follow manufacturer's instructions.
Preliminary work needed:
- Remove ENGINE with transmission
- Remove transmission.
- Vehicles with automatic transmission, refer to REMOVING AND INSTALLING TRANSMISSION (AISIN F21FT)
- Vehicles with manual transmission, refer to REMOVING AND INSTALLING TRANSMISSION (GS6-58BG) .
- Drain off MOTOR OIL .
Unscrew the screws (1).
Remove adapter plate (2).
NOTE:
Tightening torque: 11 11 5AZ
.
Prepare special tool 00 2 300 together with special tool 00 2 320 (00 2 321).
Prepare special tool 2 288 357 together with special tool 11 9 030.
Lift engine (1) with workshop crane and special tool 11 0 070 from table lift (83 22 2 184 136).
Lift engine with workshop crane onto assembly jig.
Bolt special tools 11 9 030 and 2 288 357 to engine.
Tightening torque: 11 11 5AZ .
Fix special tool 11 9 030 to assembly jig 00 2 300.
Tightening torque: 11 11 6AZ .
Required follow-up work:
- Suspend engine from workshop crane
- Remove engine from assembly jig
- Use workshop crane to place engine on table lift
- Install transmission.
- Vehicles with automatic transmission, refer to REMOVING AND INSTALLING TRANSMISSION (AISIN F21FT)
- Vehicles with manual transmission, refer to REMOVING AND INSTALLING TRANSMISSION (GS6-58BG) .
- Install ENGINE with transmission
- Top up MOTOR OIL .
