Removing and installing/seal throttle body (B36, B38, B46, B48) (Cooper)

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with NOTES on protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD protection)!

Preliminary work needed:

Remove INTAKE SILENCER HOUSING .

Removal:

Unlock and detach connector (1) from boost pressure sensor.

Release connector (2) on the throttle valve and detach.

Unlock and detach pressure pipe (3) from throttle body.

Lay pressure pipe (3) to one side.

Unscrew the screws (1).

Remove throttle valve (2).

Installation:

Replace sealing rings between throttle valve, intake plenum and air duct.

Part : Sealing rings

Install throttle valve (2) and tighten screws (1).

Tightening torque 13 54 1AZ .

Attach connector (1) to boost pressure sensor.

Connector (1) must engage audibly.

Attach connector (2) to throttle valve.

Connector (2) must snap audibly into place.

Connect pressure pipe (3) to throttle body.

The pressure pipe (3) must snap audibly into place.
