Removing and installing/replacing rear left or right safety belt (Cooper Convertible)

Preliminary work needed:

Remove REAR SEAT .
Remove/replace the left rear seat BACKREST and/or right rear seat BACKREST .
Remove/replace left trunk WHEEL ARCH TRIM and/or right trunk WHEEL ARCH PANEL .
Remove the trim panel for the top ROLLOVER PROTECTION .
Remove the trim panel for the bottom ROLLOVER PROTECTION .

Removal:

Remove screw (1).

Remove end lining (2).

Unclip seat belt finisher strip (1) upwards.

Feed out seat belt strap (1) from seat belt finisher strip (2).

Release the trim (1) on the clips (2).

Unclip the trim (1) from the trim panel (3).

Release the screws (1) from the seat belt guide loop (2).

Swivel the seat belt guide loop (1) forward.

Unclip cover (2).

Feed out seat belt strap (3).

Remove screw (1).

Remove safety belt (2).

Installation:

Install safety belt (2).

NOTE: Make sure the guide is correctly installed in body.

replace screw (1).

Tighten screw (1).

Tightening torque 72 11 20AZ .

Insert the seat belt strap (3) at the seat belt guide loop (1).

Clip in cover (2).

Position the seat belt guide loop (2).

replace screw (1).

Tighten down screws (1).

Tightening torque 72 11 21AZ .

Insert the seat belt strap (1) into the trim panel (2).

Mount end lining (2).

NOTE: End lining (2) is encoded to prevent incorrect assembly.

replace screw (1).

Tighten screw (1).

Tightening torque 72 11 22AZ .

Required follow-up work:

Install the trim panel for the bottom ROLLOVER PROTECTION .
Install the trim panel for the top ROLLOVER PROTECTION .
Install the left trunk WHEEL ARCH TRIM and/or right trunk WHEEL ARCH PANEL .
Install the left rear SEAT BACKREST and/or right rear SEAT BACKREST .
Install REAR SEAT .
