51 16 365 Removing and installing/replacing glove box cover

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove RIGHT GLOVE BOX WITH HOUSING

Removal:

Release damper (1) from retaining bracket (2) and twist approx. 40° in direction of arrow.

Release hinge bolt (1) from stop and twist until hinge bolt (1) can be pulled out.

Repeat process on second hinge bolt (1).

Feed out glove box lid.

Installation:

Feed in glove box lid.

Insert hinge bolt (1) and clip in to stop.

Repeat procedure for second hinge bolt (1).

Lock damper (1) on retaining bracket (2).
