51 21 090 Removing and installing/replacing door lock in left or right front door

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove the OUTER DOOR HANDLE SUPPORT

Removal:

Attention!

Do not damage the door lock gasket during removal.

Unclip locking rod (1).

Unfasten plug connection (3) and disconnect.

Unfasten screws (2).

Replacement:

Remount Bowden cable (1).

Installation:

Tighten screws (1) first. Then tighten screw (2) of door lock.

Tightening torque 51 21 1AZ .

Clip in locking rod (3).

Connect plug connection (4).
