51 47 312 Replacing footrest for front vehicle interior

Removal:

Unclip the cover (1) from the footrest (2).

If necessary, loosen the screw in this area (1).

The footrest (2) has been bonded to the carpet.

Pull off the footrest (2) from the carpet or cut at the adhesive.

Installation:

Position the new footrest (2) on the carpet.

Drill out this area (1) using a Ø 5 mm drill.

Screw the plug (1) into the bore hole.

Pre-treat the footrest (1) using primer 206.

Apply an adhesive bead (2) with Ø 5 mm to the footrest (1).

NOTE: Use WINDOW GLASS ADHESIVE .

Bond the new footrest (2) to the carpet and tighten in this area (1) using the screw.
