Removing and installing/replacing control unit for electric fuel pump (Cooper)

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with NOTES on protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD protection)!.

Preliminary work needed:

Remove REAR SEAT .

Removal:

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Release nuts (2) and remove control unit (3).

Installation:

Install control unit (3).

Insert nuts (2) and tighten.

Tightening torque 16 14 1AZ .

Position plug connection (1) and lock.

Required follow-up work:

Install REAR SEAT
Replacement only: Start up fuel pump control electronics using appropriate scan tool..
