Removing and installing left or right locator for rear parcel shelf (Cooper Convertible)

Preliminary work needed :

Remove COVER from tail panel.
Unlock LOADING AID and support soft top bow

Removal:

Remove cover (1).

Release edge protection (1) in the area of the mounting for storage shelf (2).

Loosen screws (3).

Take out and remove the mounting for storage shelf (2) from the strikers.

Installation:

Replacement :

If required remount switch for CONVERTIBLE TOP/STORAGE SHELF .

Insert mounting for storage shelf (2) on the striker.

Mount edge protection (1) in the area of the mounting for storage shelf (2).

NOTE: Make sure edge protection (1) on mounting for storage shelf (3) is fitted correctly.

Tighten down screws (3).

Tightening torque 51 47 2AZ .

Required follow-up work :

Install COVER for tail panel.
Lock LOADING AID
