Removing and installing/replacing trim on cowl panel at top (Cooper Convertible)

Special tools required:

Preliminary work needed:

Remove ANTENNA AERIAL
Remove TRIM on the left and right A-pillar.
Remove the ROOF FUNCTION CENTER .

Removal:

Remove screw (1).

Unscrew the screws (1).

Unclip trim on the top cowl panel (1) with the special tool 00 9 317 from the clips (2).

Disconnect plug connections and remove trim on the top cowl panel (1) upwards.

Installation:

Replacement:

Remount antenna base.

NOTE: If required replace faulty clips (1) of the trim on the top cowl panel (2).
Sealing rings on the clips (1) should not be damaged or missing.

Install trim on the top cowl panel (1) and in this connect plug connections.

Clip in the trim on the top cowl panel (1) into the clips (2).

Tighten down screws (1).

Tightening torque 51 13 10AZ .

Required follow-up work:

Install ANTENNA AERIAL
Mount COVER on A-pillar on left/right side
Install the ROOF FUNCTION CENTER .
