Removing and installing/replacing trim for left or right A-pillar (Cooper Convertible)

Preliminary work needed:

Remove TRIM STRIP from side wall.

Removal :

Release door weather strip (1) in area of A-pillar.

Unscrew the screws (1).

Release the cover (2) at clips (3) and remove.

Installation:

NOTE: If necessary, release fixtures (2) from A-pillar (1).
The sealing rings of the clips (2) should not be damaged or missing.
The seal (3) must not be damaged or missing.

NOTE: Replace faulty grommets (1) on A-pillar (2).

Place and clip in trim (2) with clips (3) on car body.

Tighten down screws (1).

Tightening torque 51 13 1AZ .

Fasten door weather strip (1) in area of A-pillar.

Required follow-up work:

Install TRIM STRIP on side panel.
