Removing and installing front bumper cover (Cooper Convertible): Notes

- Mask those working areas at risk with yellow plastic adhesive tape.
- Remove and install heavy or bulky components with the aid of another person/other persons.

Removal:
Release trim (1) from detents (2) and clips (3).
NOTE:
Carry out work on the right side in the same way as for the left side illustrated here.
Unscrew the screws (1).
Only F55, F56 and F57:
Unscrew the screws (1).
Only F54:
Unscrew the screws (1).
Unscrew the screws (1).
Pull bumper cover (2) slightly towards the front with aid of a support person.
Unlock and disconnect all plug connections depending on equipment specification.
Remove bumper cover (2) towards the front with the aid of a support person.
Installation:
Position bumper cover (2) with the aid of a second person.
Connect all plug connections.
Tighten down screws (1).
Tightening torque 51 11 1AZ .
Only F54:
Tighten down screws (1).
Only F55, F56 and F57:
Tighten down screws (1).
Tighten down screws (1).
Fasten trim (1) on detents (2) and clips (3).

Carry out work on the right side in the same way as for the left side illustrated here.
