REP-TAT-P-1151-02 Installing coolant pumps

Check whether the sealing bead (1) is glued to the housing of the coolant pump.

Check

Check sealing bead (1) for damage.
Measure the height of the sealing bead (1) in relation to the surface.

TECHNICAL DATA SPECIFICATION

Height of the sealing bead
	2.0 mm... 2.5 mm

Result

» Sealing bead (1) is damaged or the measured dimension deviates.

Measure

Remove the sealing bead (1).

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The processing time of the liquid sealing compound can be at a maximum of 10 min.
Commissioning of the assembly is not possible until 25 minutes after the processing time.
Non-observance can lead to leaks in the assembly.

Reapply the sealing bead (1).
Have the special tool 2 469 803 ready.

Position the sealing compound (1) as shown on the special tool 2 469 803 .

Tighten screws (2) and (3) of the coolant pump (1).

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATION

Coolant pump to component carrier
M6 screw	9 Nm

Follow-up work

Connect the RIGHT CHARGE AIR DUCT to the charge air cooler
Install the DRIVE BELT for alternator
Install RIGHT CHARGE AIR LINE
Install FRONT UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
Fill and vent the COOLANT CIRCUIT
