Securing engine in installation position

Special tools required: 

• 2 358 042
• 00 6 100
• 00 6 150
• 11 0 000

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove the FRONT WINDSHIELD PANEL COVER .
• Remove ACOUSTIC COVER .

Observe following instructions relating to special tool: 

1. Prior to each use, check the special tools for defects, modifications and operational reliability.
2. Damaged/modified special tools must not be used!
3. No changes or modifications may be made to the special tools!
4. Keep special tools dry, clean and free of grease.

Always make sure there is sufficient clearance between the engine (or its add-on parts) and the body.

Unclip cover (1) on left and right.

On version with EDC: 

Remove protective cap (1).

Disconnect connector (1).

Remove cover (2).

B37 only: 

Align special tool 2 358 042 on the engine and secure using the screws (1).

Prepare special tool 00 6 100 with special tool 00 6 150 and 11 0 000 as shown.

Put on and align special tool 00 6 100 with special tool 00 6 150.

Tighten screws from special tool 00 6 150 on the rear support points (strut bearings).

Suspend hook (1) and (2) from special tool 11 0 000 on the lifting eyes or mounting bracket of the engine.

Slightly tension special tool 11 0 000 over the spindle (3) of special tool 00 6 100.

Tighten down all adjustment screws, knurled screws and nuts of special tool 00 6 100 and 00 6 150.

Required follow-up work: 

• Install CLEAN AIR PIPE . (only B37) 
• Install ACOUSTIC COVER .
• Install the FRONT WINDSHIELD PANEL COVER .
