Replacing grooved ball bearing in propeller shaft center bearing (Cooper ALL4)

Special tools required: 

• 00 7 500
• 23 2 430

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove propeller shaft CENTER BEARING .

Removal:

Install special tool 00 7 500 between deep groove ball bearing (1) and prop shaft (2).

Using a hydraulic press, force deep groove ball bearing (1) off prop shaft (2).

Installation:

Use special tool 23 2 430 to press new deep groove ball bearing (1) on to prop shaft (2).

Required follow-up work: 

• Install propeller shaft CENTER BEARING .
