Removing and installing complete left or right trailing arm
Preliminary work needed:
- Remove COIL SPRING .
Removal:
Loosen screw (1).
Unscrew wheel speed sensor (2) from the trailing arm and set aside.
Loosen screws (1).
Take off brake caliper (2) with holder and tie back.
Unclip brake line (1) from holder (2) on trailing arm.
Release nut and remove screws (1).
Mark position of eccentric shim to trailing arm to simplify subsequent adjustment of rear axle.
Slacken nut (2).
Remove eccentric washer and unscrew screw.
Installation note:
Tighten screw connection (2) in NORMAL POSITION .
Undo screws (1) on trailing arm bearing support on the body.
Remove trailing arm (1) with trailing arm bearing support.
Installation:
Position trailing arm (1) with trailing arm bearing support at the vehicle.
Tighten screws (1) on trailing arm bearing support on the body.
Replace screws.
Tightening torque 33 32 5AZ .
Part : Replace nut.
Insert screw (1) and tighten nut.
Tightening torque 33 32 1AZ .
Insert bolt (2) and connect eccentric washer.
Align eccentric washer to the marked position.
Part : Replace the nut and screw (2).
Screw on the nut (2).
- Do not yet tighten to specified torque!
Shift vehicle into NORMAL POSITION .
Tighten nut (2) in normal position.
Tightening torque 33 32 2AZ .
Position brake caliper (2) with holder.
Part : Replace screws (1).
Tighten down screws (1).
Tightening torque 34 21 2AZ .
Position wheel speed sensor (2) on the trailing arm. Tighten screw (1).
Tightening torque 34 51 5AZ .
