Removing and installing/replacing striker for left or right rear seat backrest
IMPORTANT:
- Microencapsulated screws must be coated with Loctite if they are to be reused
- Screw connection must be completed within 20 min. (start of hardening)
- Microencapsulated screws must not be retightened.
- Thread of nut must be cleaned beforehand in event of repeated use
Preliminary work needed:
- Remove either LEFT TRUNK WHEEL ARCH TRIM or RIGHT TRUNK WHEEL ARCH PANEL .
- Fold backrest
Removal:
Unscrew the screws (1).
Remove striker (2).
Installation:
Position striker (2).
Tighten down screws (1).
Tightening torque 52 26 3AZ .
Required reworking:
- Install LEFT TRUNK WHEEL ARCH TRIM or RIGHT TRUNK WHEEL ARCH PANEL
- Fold up and engage rear seat backrest
