Removing and installing/replacing carpet for vehicle interior
Preliminary work needed:
- Disconnect BATTERY GROUND LEAD .
- Remove CENTER CONSOLE .
- Remove footwell side trim panel on A-pillar on front left/right. Refer to: LEFT SIDE TRIM PANEL, FOOTWELL, ON A-PILLAR and RIGHT SIDE TRIM PANEL, FOOTWELL, ON A-PILLAR
- Remove complete ACCELERATOR PEDAL MODULE
- Remove left and right cover for bass speaker. Refer to: CENTRAL BASS ON THE PASSENGER'S SIDE (UNDER THE FRONT SEAT) and CENTRAL BASS LOUDSPEAKER ON DRIVER'S SIDE (UNDER FRONT SEAT)
- Remove door pillar TRIM PANEL on left and right

Risk of damage!
Pay attention to cables when cutting.
Start cuts towards center of vehicle as far as is possible. This guarantees that cutting edges are covered by storage compartment and/or dashboard.

Remove carpet (1) along lines, cut on the right and left.
Remove carpet (1) along lines, cut on the right and left.
Remove carpet (1) toward rear/top and if necessary feed out cable.
Installation:
Replacement:
Lay removed carpet over new one and transfer cuts to new carpet.
Install the carpet (1).
NOTE:
Make sure carpet (1) is correctly positioned compared with adjacent parts.
Required follow-up work:
- Connect BATTERY GROUND LEAD .
- Install CENTER CONSOLE .
- Install footwell side trim panel on A-pillar. Refer to: LEFT SIDE TRIM PANEL, FOOTWELL, ON A-PILLAR andRIGHT SIDE TRIM PANEL, FOOTWELL, ON A-PILLAR
- Install complete ACCELERATOR PEDAL MODULE .
- Install left and right cover for bass speaker. Refer to: CENTRAL BASS ON THE PASSENGER'S SIDE (UNDER THE FRONT SEAT) and CENTRAL BASS LOUDSPEAKER ON DRIVER'S SIDE (UNDER FRONT SEAT) .
- Install door pillar TRIM PANEL on left and right
