Replacing gas spring for left split door

Special tools required: 

• 00 9 325

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove trim panel for split door. Refer to: TRIM PANEL FOR RIGHT SPLIT DOOR  andLEFT TRIM PANEL FOR SPLIT DOOR .

Removal: 

Disassemble BALL SOCKET (1) .

Unclip cover (2) with special tool 00 9 325.

Remove gas spring (3) together with cover (2).

Installation: 

Install gas spring (3) together with cover (2).

Mount BALL SOCKET (1) .

Clip in cover (2).

Required follow-up work: 

• Install trim panel for split door. Refer to: TRIM PANEL FOR RIGHT SPLIT DOOR  andLEFT TRIM PANEL FOR SPLIT DOOR .
