Removing and installing/replacing cable for engine compartment lock, front (in passenger compartment)

Preliminary work needed: 

Removal: 

Disengage cable (1) at lever (2).

If necessary, detach the traction (1) from the clips to the Firewall.

Lift and open the clutch (1) from the door lock support (2).

Disengage cable (3).

Version 1: 

Detach cable (1) from holder (2).

Feed out cable (1) with grommet (3) out of Firewall.

Version 2 with shorter Bowden cable: 

Feed out cable (1) with grommet (2) out of Firewall.

Installation: 

Version 1: 

Feed in cable (1) with grommet (3) into Firewall.

Attach cable (1) in holder (2).

Ensure grommet (3) is correctly fitted on Firewall.

Version 2 with shorter Bowden cable: 

Feed in cable (1) with grommet (2) into Firewall.

NOTE: Make sure the traction (1) is positioned correctly traction (1) runs over shock tower.

Version 2 with shorter Bowden cable (RHD): 

NOTE: Cable (1) must fit correctly in clamp (2).

Attach cable (3).

Clip in and close the clutch (1) into the door lock support (2).

If necessary, attach the traction (1) from the clips to the Firewall.

Attach cable (1) on lever (2).
