Replacing LED module in front door trim panel on left or right (Cooper)

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove front DOOR TRIM PANEL .

Removal: 

Door opener 

Disconnect connector (1).

Release LED module for door trim panel (2) from holder.

Feed out the LED module for door trim panel (2) along with fiber-optic conductor (3).

Door opener 

Release fiber-optic conductor (2) on detent using a screwdriver (3 mm blade).

Pull fiber-optic conductor (2) from LED module for door trim panel (1).

Door pocket: 

Disconnect the associated connector on the LED module for the door trim panel (1).

Carefully release fiber-optic conductor (2) from the holder.

Release LED module for door trim panel (2) from holder.

Release fiber-optic conductor (2) on detent using a screwdriver (3 mm blade).

Pull fiber-optic conductor (2) from LED module for door trim panel (1).

Disconnect the connector (1) on the LED module for the door trim panel (2).

Release LED module for door trim panel (2) from holder and rotate slightly sideways.

Pull fiber-optic conductor (2) from LED module for door trim panel (1).

Insert fiber-optic conductor (2) into LED module for door trim panel (1).

Connect the connector (1) to the LED module for the door trim panel (2).

Connect the associated connector to the LED module for the door trim panel (1).

Clip in LED module for door trim panel (2) into fiberoptic conductor.

Insert LED module for door trim panel (2) into holder.

Connect the connector (1) to the LED module for the door trim panel (2).

Insert LED module for door trim panel (2) into holder.

Carefully insert LED module for door trim panel (2) partially into holder.

Clip in LED module for door trim panel (2) into fiberoptic conductor.

Insert LED module for door trim panel (2) fully into holder.

Connect the connector (1) on the LED module for the door trim panel (2).

Required follow-up work: 

• Install front DOOR TRIM PANEL .
