Replacing bulb socket for left or right tail light (bumper cover) (Cooper)
WARNING:
Follow INSTRUCTIONS for handling light bulbs (exterior lighting).
Preliminary work needed:
- Remove either LEFT TAIL LIGHT OF BUMPER or RIGHT BUMPER TAIL LIGHT .
Removal:
Unlock bulb socket (1; 2) by counterclockwise turn.
Pull bulb socket (1; 2) out of tail light (3).
Replacement:
Release detent on bulb socket.
Take bulb socket (1) out of light holder (2).
NOTE:
The gasket on the bulb socket (2) must not be damaged or missing.
Installation:
Insert bulb socket (1; 2) in tail light (3).
Lock bulb socket (1; 2) by turning clockwise.
NOTE:
Make sure that the bulb socket (1; 2) is correctly seated in the tail light (3).
Required follow-up work:
- Install either LEFT TAIL LIGHT OF BUMPER or RIGHT BUMPER TAIL LIGHT .
