Adjusting Left Tailgate Hinge (Regarding FRU Number 4162014/514) (Cooper, Cooper S, John Cooper Works)
Attention:
Do not damage adjoining body parts.
Remove MOUNTING FOR STORAGE SHELF on both sides of the vehicle.
Slacken nuts (1) on the inside to the point that the tailgate hinge (2) can still be shifted.
Adjust tailgate height and lateral positioning.
Tightening torque 41 62 2AZ/3AZ .
After Installation note:
- Tighten all screws and nuts to specified torque.
- Touch up unpainted surfaces in the appropriate color
- Adjust the striker, if required.
