Removing and installing/replacing right trunk wheel arch panel (Cooper Convertible)

Preliminary work needed  :

• Remove the TRUNK COMPARTMENT LIGHT
• Remove the mounting for right STORAGE SHELF .

Removal  :

Detach cover (1).

Take out lid (1).

Release expanding rivet (1).

Detach gas cap for emergency operation (2).

Feed out trunk wheel arch trim (3).

Detach plug connections and remove the trunk-wheel arch planking (3) from the vehicle.

Installation  :

Insert the trunk-wheel arch planking (3) in the vehicle and with that connect the plug connections.

Feed in trunk wheel arch panel (3).

Attach gas cap for emergency operation (2).

Mount expanding rivets (1).

Install end cover (1).

Required reworking: 

• Install the mounting for right STORAGE SHELF 
• Install the TRUNK COMPARTMENT LIGHT
