Replacing the front deformation element on the bottom right (Cooper Convertible)

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove front bottom support for BUMPER COVER .
• Release FLUID FUEL TANK for washer system.

Removal: 

Only MINI Coopers: 

Release expanding rivet (1).

Remove screw (2).

Feed out air duct (3) from guide (4) and remove.

Release screws (1 to 3).

Remove deformation element (4).

Installation: 

Insert deformation element (4).

Tighten screws (1 to 3).

Screw	Tightening torque
(1)	51 11 9AZ .
(2)	51 11 4AZ .
(3)	51 11 5AZ .

Only MINI Coopers: 

Feed in air duct (3) with guide (4) into holder.

Secure air duct (3) with screw (2) and expanding rivet (1).

Required follow-up work: 

• Install front bottom support for BUMPER COVER .
• Secure WASHER FLUID RESERVOIR for washer system.
