Removing and installing/replacing support for front bumper cover (Cooper Convertible)

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove front BUMPER COVER .
• Remove impact absorber from support

Removal: 

Unscrew the screws (1).

Release screws (2) and remove associated holder from below.

Loosen screws (3).

Release screws (4) from fanfare horn holder.

Feed out support (5) towards front and remove.

Installation: 

Replacement: 

Release screws (1) on left and right.

Remount holder (2).

Insert support (5).

Tighten down screws (1).

Tightening torque 51 11 8AZ .

Tighten down screws (2).

Tightening torque 51 11 2AZ .

Tighten down screws (3, 4).

Required follow-up work: 

• Install impact absorber on support
• Install front BUMPER COVER .
