51 32 211 Removing and installing/replacing the front left or right rubber window seal

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove FRONT DOOR WINDOW GLASS
Remove the WEATHER STRIP ON THE FRONT DOOR ON THE INSIDE

IMPORTANT: The NOTES on installation of rubber window seals serve as the basis for these repair instructions and must be observed without fail.

Removal:

Slightly fold back the rubber window seal (1).

Release screw (2).

Feed out corner trim (1) upwards out of guide (2) and remove.

Pull out the rubber window seal (1) from the window guide rail (2).

Installation:

The rubber window seal (1) must not be damaged at corners (2).

Coat the rubber window seal (1) with APPROVED LUBRICANT prior to installation.

Insert the rubber window seal (1) into the window guide rail (2).

Feed in corner trim (1) into guide (2).

Tighten screw (2).

Tightening torque 51 33 3AZ .

Mount the rubber window seal (1).
