Replace Girder Of Right Cross Connection (Cooper, Cooper S, John Cooper Works)

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove CROSS CONNECTION .
• Remove "right headlight". Refer to 63 12 009 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING RIGHT HEADLIGHT or 63 12 143 REMOVING AND INSTALLING (REPLACING) RIGHT HEADLIGHT - LED TECHNOLOGY - .

Removal: 

Release expanding rivets (1) and clip (2).

Undo screw (3) and place covers (4) with hood seal to one side.

Release deflection (5) from support for cross connection.

Unscrew the screws (1).

Remove the oil filler neck (1).

Release screw and nuts (2).

Release 4 screws (1) and remove support (2) for cross connection.

Installation: 

Follow PROCEDURE FOR INSTALLING FRONT PANEL .

Install support (2) for cross connection. Tighten all screws hand-tight.

4 Tighten screws (1). Tightening torque 41 33 5AZ .

Tighten screw and nuts (1).

Tightening torque 41 33 3AZ .

Tighten down screws (1).

Tightening torque 41 33 4AZ .

Install covers (4) together with hood seal. Tighten screw (3).

Fasten expanding rivets (1) and clip (2).

Mount deflection (5) on cross connection support.

Required reworking: 

• Install CROSS CONNECTION .
• Install "right headlight". Refer to 63 12 009 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING RIGHT HEADLIGHT or 63 12 143 REMOVING AND INSTALLING (REPLACING) RIGHT HEADLIGHT - LED TECHNOLOGY - .
