REP-TAT-P-5434-01 Removing the roof cassette

Preliminary work 

• Remove both TRIM PANELS  guide rails
• Remove both INTERIOR TRIM PANELS  of the guide rails
• Remove the TRIM PANEL  for the rear case

• Open the folding sunroof by a few cm to relieve the tension of the convertible top fabric.
• Detach the trim (1) towards the rear.

• Carefully loosen the convertible top fabric (1) on the front strut (2).
• Remove remnants of the double-sided adhesive tape.

• Loosen adhesive tape (1).
• Detach the tension cable (2) at the side of the roof frame.

• Unclip the detents (1) at the front in the highlighted area.
• Remove the convertible top fabric (2) from the front strut in the arrow direction.

• Detach the wire bow (1) on both sides.

• Loosen clamps (1).
• Loosen the cable clip (2).
• Remove convertible top fabric (3) over the entire width from the frame.
• Remove remnants of the double-sided adhesive tape.

• Loosen nut (1).

• Pull holder (1) slightly to the rear to detach the guide (2) from the convertible top frame (3).

• Drill out the blind rivets (1).
• Remove the headlining (2) at the front.

• Unlock and disconnect plug connections (1).
• Lever out the clip (arrow).

• Loosen screws (1).
• Carefully lift the convertible top mechanism guide (2) from the linkage over the threaded bushings.
• Disengage roof crossbar from linkage.
