11 61 050 Removing and installing intake plenum (N18)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Disconnect BATTERY EARTH LEAD .
Remove INTAKE SILENCER HOUSING .
Release pressure hose on throttle body.

Disconnect plug connection (1) on tank vent valve (2).

Detach hose from tank vent valve (2).

NOTE: Illustration shows removed pressure converter (EPDW).

Disconnect vacuum lines on vacuum connection (1 and 2).

Disconnect plug connection on pressure converter (EPDW).

Installation note:

OUT connector (1) is identified with a green ring.

Release support bracket below plenum.

Unscrew nuts (1).

Tightening torque: 11 61 1AZ .

Raise intake plenum off of the stud bolt to the point where the plug connection on the throttle body is accessible.

Unlock plug connection on throttle body and disconnect.

Installation note:

OUT connector (EPDW) on the pressure converter is identified with a green ring.

Vacuum line (1) is fitted with a green ring (OUT).

Vacuum line (2) without green ring (VAC).

Installation note:

Replace all gaskets.

Convert THROTTLE BODY .

Assemble engine.
