41 14 502 Replacing rear left outer section of wheel arch (side wall removed)

Read contents of BODY, GENERAL .

Remove or cover those vehicle components in the repair area which are susceptible to heat or dust.

Use only approved SPOT-WELDING APPARATUS  for repairs!

The following new body parts are required:

• (1) Wheel arch, rear, outer half
• (2) Frame side member
• (3) End plate, rear wheel arch
• Shaped part, A-pillar, bottom inner
• Shaped part, rear wheel arch

Removal of the outside wheel arch 

Open welded connections in areas (1).

Release reinforcement wheel arch from cavity sealing (2) and remove.

View of passenger compartment:

Release welded connections in areas (1) and remove wheel arch.

New part preparation 

Release welded connections and remove non-required components from side member new part.

Fit new parts.

Installation outside wheel arch 

Apply sealant to new CAVITY SEALINGS .

Install new parts and weld the same as series.
