26 12 001 Replacing complete propeller shaft center bearing

Special tools required: 

Necessary preliminary work: 

NOTE: The propeller shaft is balanced.
The front and rear propeller shafts must be reassembled in the same position.
Mark front propeller shaft (1) and rear propeller shaft (2) in one plane.

Undo bolt (3) and pull apart propeller shaft.

Replace screw.

Tightening torque 26 11 5AZ .

Installation note: 

Pay attention to installed position of spacer ring (1).

Clean thread (2).

Install special tool 00 7 500 between center bearing (1) and propeller shaft (2).

Using a hydraulic press, force center mount (1) off propeller shaft (2).

Installation note: 

Apply a coating of grease to longitudinal splines on shaft (refer to SPECIFIED GREASE ).

Use special tool 23 2 430 to press on new center bearing (1).
