51 46 050 Removing and installing/replacing top cover on tail panel

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove luggage compartment floor trim panel. See LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR TRIM PANEL  or LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR TRIM PANEL (CLUBVAN) .

If necessary, remove warning triangle.

Release expanding rivet (1).

Release cover from clips (2) in upward direction and feed out.

Installation note: 

Replace faulty expanding rivets (1) and clips (2).

Ensure that seal for rear lid is correctly seated.
