41 61 001 Replacing engine bonnet/hood
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove ENGINE HOOD
- Modify SPRAY NOZZLE
- Modify TRIM RINGS
- Modify front and rear trim strips. See TRIM STRIP and TRIM STRIP (COWL PANEL) .
- Modify RETAINING HOOK and striker
- Modify noise insulation
For cars with electric motors:
WARNING:
Voltages up to 1000 V can occur on the car!
Work on the high-voltage system may only be carried out by specially trained electricians!
Before work is started, the high-voltage system must be fully deactivated by a specially trained electrician and secured against unauthorized restarting!

IMPORTANT:
Do not damage bonnet/hood outer skin.
Carry over hole pattern to new part in areas (1) and cut out inner panel.
Paint bonnet/hood.
