41 62 014 Adjusting rear lid to fit

CAUTION: Do not damage adjoining body parts.
Minor corrections (realignment work) are permitted if the existing adjustment options are not sufficient.

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove REAR SPOILER

Observe GAP DIMENSIONS .

The rear lid must be provided with all attachment parts for correct adjustment.

Adjustment points for adjusting rear lid to fit.

Carry over the work step shown symmetrically to the other side of the vehicle.

Slacken nuts (1) at hinge.

Tightening torque 41 62 1AZ .

If adjustment range is not enough, also slacken nuts (1). Only accessible from interior.

Tightening torque 41 62 2AZ .

Following adjustment, seal all areas with cavity sealant.

If necessary, adjust REAR LID LOCK .

After installation:

Tighten all screws and nuts to specified torque.
Touch up unpainted surfaces in the appropriate color.
