51 37 000 Removing and installing complete rear left or right power window regulator

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Side window (1) must be opened to dimension (A).

A = approx. 150 mm

Release screws (1) and remove connecting bracket (2).

Tightening torque 51 37 4AZ.

R57 only:

Disconnect wiring harness mounting (1) from power window regulator (2).

Slacken nut (1) (do not release fully).

Tightening torque 51 37 3AZ.

Slacken screws (1) on power window regulator (2) (do not release fully).

Tightening torque 51 37 3AZ.

Pull out power window regulator (1) towards top slightly.

R52 only:

Lift out cable holder (2) from power window regulator (1).

Disconnect plug connection (3) on flat motor (4).

Remove power window regulator (1).

Presettings after fitting power window regulator:

R52 only:

Preset dimension (A) at power window regulator (1) (window glass breakage); only then may the power window regulator (1) be actuated.

Distance (A) = 18.5 mm

Close window completely.

Check gap dimension (A and B) between side window glass (1) and flange on side panel (2) and adjust if necessary.

Distance (A) = 16 mm

Dimension (B) = 10 mm

To do so, slacken screws (1) on power window regulator (2).

Tightening torque 51 37 3AZ.

Open soft top and soft top compartment lid.

Fit window cavity cover (1).

Preset dimension (C) between window cavity cover (1) and flange on side panel (2).

Dimension (C) = 24 mm

Installation:

Check function.

Adjust REAR DOOR WINDOW .
