65 77 720 Removing and installing/replacing left/right B-pillar sensor

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Disconnect BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE
• Remove REAR SIDE TRIM PANEL

Release screw (1).

Remove sensor (2) from below and disconnect associated electrical connector.

Tightening torque 65 77 3AZ .

Installation note: 

Retaining lug (3) must not be damaged.

Make sure sensor (2) is firmly seated.
