67 11 555 Removing and installing/replacing servodrive for tank filler flap

Special tools required: 

Unclip trim (1) with special tool 00 9 340  and remove.

Installation: 

Retaining clips (2) must not be damaged.

Turn sleeve (1) with a suitable tool approx. 45° in direction of arrow and pull out of receptacle (2).

Installation: 

Slide sleeve (1) over tank filler flap locking pin (2).

Make sure sleeve (1) is correctly engaged in cover housing (3).

Remove luggage compartment wheel arch trim  at rear left. See 51 47 151 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LEFT OR RIGHT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT WHEEL ARCH TRIM .

Release bolts (1).

Disconnect plug connection (2) and feed out servomotor (3) completely with bracket towards rear.

Installation: 

Make sure metal lug (4) is correctly seated.

Installation: 

Connect locking pin (1) with a suitable tube (2) and guide through opening in fuel tank cap (3).

Replacement: 

Slacken screws (1)

Remove servodrive (2) from holder and detach locking pin (4).

Feed out emergency release mechanism (3).
