41 34 121 Replacing complete tail panel and luggage compartment floor

Read contents of Body, General . Remove or cover those vehicle components in the repair area which are susceptible to heat or dust. Use only approved spot-welding apparatus for repairs.

Procedure: observe repair stage 3

Following new body parts are required: (1) Luggage compartment floor (2) Rear trim panel, inner (3) Rear trim, outer skin.

Open welded connections in areas (1).

View from vehicle underbody: Open welded connections in areas (1). Remove the luggage compartment floor.

Preparation of new part: Open weld joints in areas (1) and remove cross-member (2). Fit in new part. Before welding in, also adjust tail panel and tailgate to fit.

Installation of luggage compartment floor: Install new part and weld Tail panel installation described under 41 34 060 .
