54 34 016 Removing and installing/replacing left or right hydraulic cylinder for soft top

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC SOFT TOP
- Stow ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC SOFT TOP on special tool and close
NOTE:
Hydraulic cylinder is only accessible when soft top is removed and closed.
Make sure that dirt cannot get into the hydraulic circuit.
Disconnect all cable straps.
Installation:
Replace faulty cable straps.
Lever out retainer (1) and drive out pin (2).
Release bolt (3).
Feed out hydraulic cylinder (4) downwards.
Disconnecting hydraulic lines from cylinder:
Slide open retainer (1) on cylinder with screwdriver.
Detach hydraulic lines (2).
IMPORTANT:
Protect joints (lines and cylinder) against dripping fluid, e.g. with a cleaning cloth.
Observe hose markings.
Installation:
Fully open and close soft top approx. 10 times in order to bleed the hydraulic system.
Check OIL LEVEL .
