51 22 253 Removing and installing/replacing door opener lever at bottom

Special tools required: 

• 00 9 323  . See MAINTENANCE AND GENERAL INFORMATION - SPECIAL TOOLS -- S CLUBMAN .

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove door opener on rear door  

Disconnect Bowden cable (1).

Unclip trim (1) with special tool 00 9 323. 

Installation: 

Ensure trim (1) is correctly seated.

Release screws (1) and feed out lever (2).

Installation: 

To install, feed in Bowden cable through door lock opening at bottom.

Remove door lock at bottom.

Replacement: 

Unclip trim (1) with a suitable tool and disengage Bowden cable (2).
