51 41 019 Removing and installing/replacing door handle on door trim panel, front left or right

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Version from 03/2012 with alarm system:

Remove module for passenger compartment protection.

If necessary, disconnect plug connection (1) and feed out cable.

Release screws (3).

Feed out door handle (4) and feed out associated cable.

If replacing version with light package:

Remove LED for door trim panel light.

Release latch mechanisms (1) and remove fibre-optic conductor (2).

Install fibre-optic conductor (2) and LED in new door handle.
