52 25 018 Removing and installing/replacing four-bar lever on left or right rear seat backrest

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove rear head restraint. Refer to 52 25 390 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OR REPLACING LEFT OR RIGHT REAR HEAD RESTRAINT .
Remove trim for armrest at rear. Refer to 52 25 030 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COMPLETE ARMREST FOR REAR SEAT BACKREST .

Remove cover (1) upwards out of guide (2).

Detach cover (1) from Velcro-type fastener (5), pull out of guide (4) and lift out completely.

Release nuts (3).

Installation:

Insert nuts (3) with Loctite.

Tightening torque, 52 25 1AZ. Refer to SEATS - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

NOTE: Backrest is secured with three nuts to body (nut at top/outside is not fitted as standard).

Release screws (1) and remove four-bar lever (2).
