65 77 550 Removing and installing/replacing impact sensor for left or right side airbag

Incorrect handling can activate airbag and cause injury.

Turn ignition key to 0 position.

Remove left or right front seat, refer to 52 14 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING LEFT OR RIGHT SEAT .

Remove entrance cover strip, refer to 51 47 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING THE FRONT (INSIDE) LEFT OR RIGHT ROCKER PANEL STRIP .

Lift carpet floor (1) in area of front seat.

Disconnect plug connection (2) in direction of arrow.

Release screws (3) and remove impact sensor for side airbag (4).

Installation:

Arrow on impact sensor for side airbag (4) must point to sill.

Tightening torque, refer to 65 77 2AZ in AUDIO, NAVIGATION AND ANTI-THEFT - TIGHTENING .
