67 16 011 Removing and installing/replacing left headlight vertical aim adjuster (xenon headlamp, up to 09/2000)

Remove lens/reflector, refer to 63 12 034 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LENS/REFLECTOR FOR LEFT HEADLIGHT (UP TO 09/2000) .

Turn plug connection (1) in direction of arrow and disconnect.

Remove low beam cover (2).

Turn side-marker lamp bulb holder (3) in direction of arrow and remove.

Turn plug housing (4) in direction of arrow and remove.

Remove high beam cover cap (5).

Installation  :

Make sure low beam cover (2) and high beam cover cap (5) are correctly seated.

Fully release adjusting screws (6).

From 01/1997: 

In addition, turn lower holder through approx. 90° and lever out at headlight vertical aim adjuster underneath.

All: 

Pull insert (1) in direction of arrow out of headlamp housing (2).

Installation  :

Make sure guides (1) and (2) are correctly seated in headlamp housing (3).

Up to 01/1997: 

When converting the headlight vertical aim adjuster from a headlight (old version), you must clip the supplied holder onto the headlight vertical aim adjuster.

All: 

Unfasten screws.

Disconnect plug connection and remove headlight vertical aim adjuster.

Installation  :

Adjust headlamps. Refer to 63 10 004 ADJUSTING HEADLIGHTS .
