67 16 010 Removing and installing/replacing left headlight vertical aim adjuster (from 09/2000)

M54 only:

Remove intake filter housing, refer to 13 71 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING INTAKE FILTER HOUSING (M54) .

M62 only:

Release screws (1).

Remove ground connection (2).

Pull main flow oil filter housing (3) in direction of arrow out of rubber grommet (4) and place to one side.

Installation :

If necessary, replace faulty rubber grommet (4).

Make sure main flow oil filter housing (3) is correctly seated in rubber grommet (4).

All:

WARNING: Follow instructions for handling light bulbs (exterior lights). Refer to 63 99... INSTRUCTIONS FOR HANDLING LIGHT BULBS (EXTERIOR LIGHTS) .

NOTE: Headlamp removed for purposes of clarity.

Turn plug housing (1) in direction of arrow and remove.

Remove low beam cover (2).

Release screws (3).

Feed out headlight vertical aim adjuster cover cap (4) with ball head and remove.

NOTE: For illustration of ball head, refer to following note on installation.

Installation :

Feed ball head (1) of headlight vertical aim adjuster (2) in direction of arrow into mounting (3).

Release screws (1).

Remove headlight vertical aim adjuster (2) in direction of arrow and disconnect plug connection (3).

Installation :

Adjust headlamps. Refer to 63 10 004 ADJUSTING HEADLIGHTS .
